FrontlineODPTM (On Demand Plasma)
FrontlineODPTM Manufacturing System turns liquid plasma into a spray dried powder in approximately 35 minutes. The spray dried powdered plasma is easy to store, transport, and rehydrates when needed with just 200ml of sterile water.
Phase 1 In-Human Clinical Trial Completed
Velico® is pursuing regulatory approval in the US and around the world. The company has completed extensive system analysis and dried plasma characterisation, and was approved by the US FDA to perform a first-in-human clinical study evaluating safety compared to traditional frozen plasma. FrontlineODPTM (On Demand Plasma) cleared the study successfully and is now planning a major pivotal study in the US evaluating efficacy in treating traumatic haemorrhage in the prehospital setting by air medical first responders.
Key findings: all 24 completed; infusions well tolerated; no thromboembolic events; treatment-emergent adverse events similar to frozen plasma; minor non-significant coagulation changes; protein preservation in the FrontlineODPTM (On Demand Plasma) system successfully demonstrated.
Manufacturing
Velico® recently completed a multi-centre dose escalation clinical trial which demonstrated that our FrontlineODPTM (On Demand Plasma) is both safe and retains potency comparable to PF24 starting material. No safety signals were identified by investigators, independent medical monitors, or the Data Monitoring Committee, and no thromboembolic events were observed.
